The City of Hollywood's Economic Development staff recently graduated 17 entrepreneurs from its 4th cohort of the FastTrac® Start-Up Program. Through FastTrac®, the City of Hollywood guided participants on identifying and meeting market needs and accessing business, financial and human resources. The first three modules of this initial program cycle were devoted to determining the viability and market potential of each student's business concept. The remaining seven modules established the framework for entrepreneurs to develop solid business plans. The program culminated with a Pitch Competition & Graduation Day event that celebrated all 17 graduates and also featured oral presentations from the top three scored business plans, making them eligible for varying seed money grants to help fund their start-up.
Final results of the Pitch Competition are as followed:
1. H.J. Wicko – Theia Custom Lighting
2. Micheale Washington – Five Star Medical Transport
3. Martha Cohen – SA Vacations
Congratulations to all of the FastTrac® participants!
