Broward County’s job report indicated a 2.5% unemployment rate in February 2023. This rate was 0.8 percentage points lower than the area’s year-ago rate of 3.3%. The labor force was 1,070,273 up 16,786 (+1.6%) over the year. Nonagricultural employment in the Ft. Lauderdale-Pompano Bch-Deerfield Bch Metro Division was 896,300, an increase of 15,500 jobs (1.8%) over the year.
