Hollywood-based Marketing Firm Visits FastTrac® Start-Up Inaugural Class

The Pink Collective Visits FastTrac Inaugural Class

The Office of Communication, Marketing & Economic Development's inaugural Kauffman FastTrac® Start-Up program is now in full swing! The free 10-module course held its 2nd session, Identifying and Meeting Marketing Needs, on September 19th at ArtsPark at Young Circle. Participants explored how to establish a competitive advantage, recognize and evaluate opportunities, and outline entry and exit strategies. Activities included analyzing customer profiles and both direct and indirect competition. Guest speaker Richard McCulloch of Hollywood-based marketing firm The Pink Collective stressed the importance of conducting market research to define accurate market segments.

Out of the 86 applications received for the program, the top 20 finalists were selected by Economic Development staff and notified of their acceptance. As a Kauffman FastTrac® affiliate, the City of Hollywood will facilitate this program to help entrepreneurs refine their business concept, identify the components of a strong business plan, and access the appropriate resources for launch. The 10-module based course began on September 11th at ArtsPark at Young Circle and will run through December 19, 2019.
